Whenever we need an uplifting, nutritious, and easy snack to make Houmus is my first choice. It is packed with protein, high fibre, and good oils. Besides it appeals to my entire family, and this is the time to sit around a table and share our food and enjoy each others’ company.
Serve this with bread or veggie sticks.
Ingredients
- 400 gram chickpeas, cooked
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 5 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1-2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar/lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon warm water
- 1-2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt/crushed garlic
- 1 pinch salt, optional
- cayenne pepper/chilli oil to garnish, optional
