Our take on the classic whiskey sour. Food & drink is like a couple, sometimes it is easy to marry the ingredients from different cuisines & cultures to make an even better match than what one expected.

For the saffron simple syrup, use the same process as required to make plain simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar) but add a 2-3 strands of saffron.

For the blood orange syrup, you can either juice the blood orange and reduce it in a pan to make it a little thicker or you can just add blood orange juice.

For the Rose syrup, you can use add a couple of rose petals to 1/4 cup of water or 2-3 drops of rose essence directly into the drink.

Warning: The drink can be addictive and you may not taste the alcohol, but trust us when we say “it’s there”. Drink responsibly! —onceuponaspice
