Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal, uncooked
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Pack firmly into a 9 x 4 inch loaf. In preheated skillet at 225 degrees. Melt 1 tablespoon butter. Remove meatloaf from pan, place in skillet and bake, covered for 30 minutes. Carefully turn meatloaf to second side. Continue to bake for an additional 15-20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Makes 8 servings.
