Easy to follow
Family favorite
I always thought angel food cake would be a pain to make but it was super easy and even the pan was inexpensive. When I whipped the egg whites and folded the cake flour in I thought, oh no I deflated it too much because it just looked like it but no, it rose up and was fluffy and light. I’m happy with the results of this recipe. I’ve made some lemon curd to go with it and some fresh blueberries.

This is my wife’s favorite. I follow the recipe exact and it’s always great. We usually top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.

I whisked my eggs in the kitchen aide until peaks were extra stiff. Came out perfect. Used a fat daddies 8 inch should have used a 10 inch. Cooked 5 extra minutes…. Perfection. Thank youI just made it again but this time with the 10 inch ungreased pan. Perfection.

Great recipe. I followed everything 100 percent and it turned out great. I feel like the sifting is so important. I let it hang upside down until completely cooled and then I ran a butter knife all around the edges so it wouldn’t stick. Popped right out after I did that. I’ll make again for sure. Used light cool whip and fruit as the topping. Perfect birthday cake for someone being health conscious.

Beautiful recipe, very easy and the cake was very moist and tasty. My husband loves angel food cake, and I imagine I can quickly prepare this by memory. How easy will this be to prepare for a Church potluck? Thank you for sharing your recipe. It will be one I will be glad to share with my family and friends.

I selected this recipe because after searching on various sites, this one got the best reviews. As previous comments recommended, I lined the pan bottom with parchment paper.
Also, as suggested. I beat the egg whites to a foam. Then I added the cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks formed. Then I added the extracts and food coloring (I added red food coloring and a touch of peppermint extract. I also added some finely ground Hershey’s candy Cane Kisses.) and beat until stiff peaks formed.
Sifting the dry ingredients 5 times may seem time consuming, but it helps to provide a cake that is light, tasty, and high rising, all results worth taking an extra effort to get.
