One of the most popular Thai street food, Spicy, Tangy with the intense aroma of Thai basil and lime. So appetizing! A very appetizing meal for lunch or dinner.

Pad Kra Pao, one of the most popular Thai dish, in English, means ” Thai Holy Basil stir-fry.” Also known as Phat Kaphroa, Pad Krapow, Kaprao, and Thai Holy Basil Stir-Fry. No matter how you spell it, they all point to this same delicious, aromatic stir-fry dish. —Joyful Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 300 grams

    Firm tofu


  • 50 grams

    Brown onion


  • 200 grams

    Pearl oyster mushroom


  • 1 piece

    Red chili


  • 20 grams

    Ginger


  • 300 grams

    Tomato


  • 200 milliliters

    Water


  • 1 handful

    Thai Basil


  • 1/2 piece

    Lime juice


  • 2 tablespoons

    Light soy sauce


  • 1 tablespoon

    Dark soy sauce


  • 2.5 tablespoons

    Vegan oyster sauce


  • 8 grams

    Coconut sugar


  • 1 splash

    Vegan fish sauce( to taste)

Directions
  1. Prepare a cotton cloth and a bowl, break firm tofu into crumbles by rubbing fingers, then squeeze out as much water and you can
  2. Dice up the brown onion, finely chopped ginger, chopping pearl mushroom, sliced red chili, dice up deseed tomatoes, and pick Thai basil leave off the stem.
  3. Add tofu crumble into a hot pan with oil and shallow fry it until it has a golden crust outside.
  4. Saute diced onion, minced ginger, and red chili until aroma comes out. Add diced tomatoes, chopped pearl oyster mushroom then fried tofu crumbles.
  5. Add light and dark soy sauce, vegan oyster sauce, and coconut sugar. then add water
  6. Simmering and reduce the sauce down by half.
  7. Squeeze half lime juice in.
  8. Add Thai basil.
  9. After basil wilt, it’s ready to serve!
