The origin of chai is credited to countries in the Himalayan region; India, Nepal, Pakistan and Tibet. In that region, the word “chai” means “tea”. Our chai spices are blended with their traditions in mind. We carefully handcraft our Masala influenced chai by mixing crystalized ginger nibs, Saigon cinnamon chips, green cardamom pods, star anise, cloves, black peppercorns and bay leaves. When combined with a black tea, sweetener, and milk, the results are simply heavenly. One ounce of chai spice can make up to eight cups of chai.
