Found this in a website about Austrian food – this is pretty much how my German mom always made it. If you can find sour pickles in a European specialty store, all the better! NOTE: tuna comes in smaller cans than it used to, so adjust proportion of other ingredients accordingly. I use water pack tuna, but oil pack will give you a richer flavor.
Ingredients For oma’s thunfischsalat – tuna salad

2 can
tuna, drained (about 5 to 7 ounces each)

2 md
dill pickles, minced

hard-boiled eggs, diced

1-3 Tbsp
lemon juice (or juice of 1 lemon, approx)

5 Tbsp
mayonnaise (light is ok)

Mix everything together in a bowl.

Spread on hearty rye or multi-grain bread.
